Planet box
Planet Box is a publication work that is the culmination of a three year partnership with the poet Diana Syder. Using astronomy as a framing device, it combines a fictional narrative with scientific observation. Concerned with the personalisation of space, the work charts the deconstruction of an astronomer's life as she files away her past into the structure of the solar system and surrounding constellations. The book presents a series of planetary drawings and doodles on household ephemera (such as the back of envelopes and post-it notes) in conjunction with Syders poetic works - giving a 'first person' perspective.
