'14.20', single screen HD, 15 minutes looping, 2013.
(6 min excerpt)
'14.20' is part of an on-going investigation into the non-specific imagery we see when travelling at high speed and is the first work in this series to use moving image. Capturing aspects of transition, (dis)location, searching, defining, (dis)connection and projection, these works serve to reinforce many of the key themes that run through my projects. '14.20' examines the suspended state experienced when travelling and how this can affect the way we relate to our surroundings, while reflecting on the process of travel in cinematic terms - such as editing, framing and projection.
